Today our media sir gave us our first filming task!
In our lesson today, sir taught us about the different types of shots and their impact on the audience. With this information, we were then put into groups and given a scenario from which we had to film a scene by making use of the multiple angles of shots.
Sir put me in a group with Salaar and Faiqa and told us to create a scene of a girl who is waiting and annoyed because her friend was late. We shot the film with my Samsung A71 and came up with our own dialogues as well.
We filmed a total of 8 shots consisting of the rule of thirds, close-up shots, close-up tracking shot (of the feet), over the shoulder shot, two shot and mid shots of the dialogues obeying the rule of 180 degree.
Being our first exercise, naturally it was not the best of our abilities but we had a lot of fun learning and filming this scene. Overtime I hope to improve my skills drastically with more of these tasks so that my final project piece comes together perfectly!
