In-sight
Samrah was on her morning run, just like everyday, but the only difference today was that she had to meet up with her old friend Salaar afterwards. In light of that she decided to end her morning jog earlier than usual. Once she sat down in her car, she realized she did not have her phone with her so she started to look around the car for it. Hoping to find her phone, Samrah bent down to look under the passenger seat and little did she know that someone was watching. She finally then found her phone and picked it up and sent her friend Salaar a message letting him know that she was on her way.
The friends chose to meet up at a park and Samrah was so pleased to finally be able to hangout with her busy friend. "Did you hear that song 'Pumped up kicks' that I told you about?", asked Salaar. Samrah responded with "Yeah! I thought that song was whack." After a whole fun conversation of updating each other about their lives Samrah then decided to get going because she had to do some shopping for her mom. "Hey, I think its getting late, I should get going", said Samrah, Salaar replied with,"thats fine, it was really fun catching up with you. We should do this more often. Samrah found this amusing as she had tried multiple times before to meet up with Salaar but he always found an excuse not to therefore she mocked him, "For sure, but only if Mr. Busy here can clear up his schedule for me". Salaar laughed and said, "How about I make it up to you over a cup of coffee.....or not", followed with an awkward laugh. He then proceeded to ask where she was going to which Samrah told him that she had to pick some groceries up for her mom. They both then got up and parted ways.
It was not Samrah's favorite chore to do but because her parents were out of town she had to buy groceries before they got back. She sulked around each aisle, picking up items off her list. Once she was done with getting everything, she walked out of the final aisle with eyes lurking on her from behind.
Tired from her eventful day, Samrah pulled up into her driveway. She lifelessly carried the groceries in and put them down.
After resting for a while, around midnight, she decided to fix herself up a sandwich. While assembling her snack, Samrah was oblivious to the fact that someone was still watching. She then went to her room to munch and chill. While Samrah was resting, she sadly did not realize the danger she was in. Through the unlocked kitchen door, a stranger walked in.
While scrolling through her phone, Samrah received a gut wrenching text from an unknown number, "I am watching you". This text got her to jump off the bed and run to lock the doors that she had now realized she had not initially locked. She ran to the kitchen door and while locking it, her heart dropped as she felt a hand rest on her shoulder.
